Description
I wanted this piece to represent the form of a building. The treatment of the solid white areas is to create a feeling of rough painted stone. Like concrete. The title is a playful memory of wishing I could skateboard as a kid. I wanted to do stunts off high buildings. Now maybe as my memories get confused maybe I will begin to think I did do it. It may become a solid memory.
Part of a series of paintings studying the qualities of memory, trying to remember abstracted parts of buildings I have seen, tiny details that make up the whole. Memory tries to recall and fails, it then adds in the details its lost or confused.
A limited edition of 10 Giclee prints signed and numbered are available.
