Description
Brain-brain-braen is an experimental response to the short story Goodbye Armadillo by Dexuality Valentino. It began with fragments—sound artist AneurGasm (sksm) sent over bursts of dialogue, warped audio inspired by the story, and unsettling imagery: brains in cross-section, spasmodic eye movements, echoes of something half-remembered and not quite right.
From this strange archive, Dex Hannon constructed a visual piece that doesn’t follow the story—it spirals out from it. The film loops and fractures, circling the distorted rhythm of thought unravelled. Without narrative, suggestion is the guide. Meaning is glimpsed, then lost in static. A nod to David Lynch's films.
It’s a collaboration built on infection. Text infects sound. Sound infects image. And all of it loops back, twitching like a corrupted signal trapped in the head.
