Ambient Echoes is an important piece to me as it is a crossover from the geometric style I had been creating paintings in, into a more minimal and expressionistic style. On the one hand, the blurry effect of the background and the use of different nuances of light and dark blue create a soft movement on the canvas a sense of calm in the viewer. On the other hand, the sharp intersection of the white and green lines on the foreground provide structure to the painting, creating a minimal and yet expressionistic composition.
