I was listening to the disparate, haunting sounds of Radiohead's song, 'Karma Police', the line 'For a minute there, I lost myself,' ran around my head while I was creating this artwork. It changed and directed the execution of the work. It was a pure pent up energy demanding a release. Over and over and over firm strokes overlapped on the canvas, I was trapped in the moment. I was lost in the song and the brush movement. I moved around and around the painting feverishly overlapping and creating a maze of lines, impossible to navigate for a minute there, I lost myself.
