This was the first digital remix work. When I had finished the painting, A State of Higher Transience, I knew it wasn't over. Then something occurred to me as I listened to something playing at my studio. It was a digital remix of JG Thirwell work. He creates an album and then at some point he gets people to remix it. 

Why can't I digitally remix my own work? I took photographs of the painting and using these i digital remade it in Illustrator and Photoshop. I had the chance to evolve the work, the painting became not the ending but a beginning.

Taking apart the original painting, the new work can take one of three paths; 
re-imagining the original paintings concept turning the original paintings concept on its head creating a completely new piece using only the bones of the original painting.
